J’s car was towed, and while trying to gather the money to retrieve it, the fees skyrocketed to $14,000. Overwhelmed and unsure where to turn, he came to Soft Landing Missoula. Our team stepped in, advocating to reduce the bill to $400. Just days after making the final payment, J’s family welcomed a baby girl into the world.
Stories like J’s show why our community’s support matters. Every day, refugee and immigrant families in Missoula face challenges as they rebuild their lives. Thanks to you, they have a place to turn for help, connection, and hope.
Since 2016, you have helped more than 600 children and adults from over 30 countries find homes in Missoula. Together, we have built a community rooted in welcome, but that welcome is now at risk. Attacks on refugee support systems and cuts to critical funding have left many of our new neighbors uncertain about their future.

More than 600 refugee and immigrant neighbors, making sure they have the support they need to continue building their lives in Missoula.
More than 100 refugee kids, teenagers, and young adults get mentorship, academic support, and chances to explore their passions, helping them feel confident and excited about their future.
Celebrate cultures through our United We Eat program, creating opportunities for talented refugee and immigrant chefs to share their cooking, earn income, and connect with the Missoula community.
Make sure new neighbors feel safe and informed. Through workshops, advocacy, and "Know Your Rights" trainings, we’ll stand beside our new neighbors, giving them the tools to navigate challenges and feel secure.
